Connect-What’s Happening at WCF
Prayer Study Group
In this study we will be concentrating on creating more consistency in your prayer life, looking at different approaches to prayer, and how to pray more effectively. From beginner to advanced, all skill sets and ages are welcome! If you have a desire to harness the power of prayer while in fellowship with other believers, this study is for you!
Lenten Book Study
Nearly everyone has heard of the Ten Commandments, the list of “thou-shalt-nots” found in the Bible. Jesus saw these commandments not as onerous burdens, but as guideposts to help us experience a good and beautiful life. These ten ancient “words” were given to us by a loving God who longed to set safe boundaries, create order out of chaos, help communities live peacefully, and protect us–often from ourselves.
The handbell choir is practicing again with proper social distancing and sanitary protocol. If you are interested in joining the handbell choir, we’d love to have you! Call the church office at 704-523-5052 for more information.
Communion Elements and Food Drive
On the Saturday before Communion Sunday, which is the first Sunday of the month, there is an event that features three things. You’ll drive though and won’t even have to leave your car.
One, you can pick up the Communion elements so that you can partake in Communion on the virtual worship service. Please refer to the newsletter for the times.
Two, there is a food drive for Loaves and Fishes. Canned goods and non-perishables are needed.
Three, the opportunity to drop off your tithes is also available so you don’t have to mail it.
This is a nice time to see the faces of those you have missed all these months. A friendly and socially-distanced hello is always nice!
Coffee Chat is a casual online gathering for devotions and fellowship. Nice to see friendly faces!

Labor of Love
Are you looking for a way to help others and make new friends? You can help our members and friends by sharing your time, labor, and love. Projects include general light yard work, trimming trees and bushes, and the like.
This is a wonderful opportunity for college-bound students who need service hours or leadership experience for college applications.
